Quality Concrete Starts With The Proper Ad Mixtures

Hot Weather -

Delay Admixtures

These slow down the rate set of freshly placed concrete, offsetting the accelerating effects of high temperatures by preventing premature stiffening and gives the customer more time to place concrete.

Cold Weather - Accelerating Admixtures

These are essential to help offset the effects of low temperatures by increasing the rate of cement hydration. This aids in the concrete setting time and the development of early strength of the concrete. Dose rates of accelerator vary depending on the ambient temperature at the job site.

Air Entrainment

The primary purpose of air entrainment is to increase the durability of the hardened concrete, especially in climates subject to freeze-thaw; the secondary purpose is to increase workability of the concrete while in a plastic state in concrete. It is used for exterior applications.

Water Reducing Super Plastisizer

Water reducers are special chemical products added to a concrete mixture before it is poured. They are from the same family of products as retarders... increasing the concrete strength by up to 25% (as less water is required for the concrete mixture to remain workable)
